How This All Started

October 1994. Gordo's mother-in-law had a craft business that needed something extra to really take off. Flowers turned out to be that something. Lollypops & Roses planted roots in Salem, built amazing customer relationships, and became the place people automatically thought of for flowers that mattered.

When illness meant she couldn't continue in 2008, Gordo and their spouse stepped in. They'd been part of the business for years, knew customers by name, understood exactly which flowers held up and which ones let people down. Taking over felt natural, like continuing a conversation that was already going great.

Then 2015 brought an exciting opportunity. The owner of Stayton Flowers wanted to retire and offered Gordo and their spouse the business. They said yes immediately, merged everything together, and made a smart decision: keep both names. Why throw away brand recognition people had trusted for decades? Lollypops & Roses stays Lollypops & Roses. Stayton Flowers stays Stayton Flowers. Same wonderful team, same quality you can count on, two names Salem and Stayton already love.

Our Salem Story

For 27 years, Lollypops called Lancaster home. We built incredible relationships there, served multiple generations of the same families, watched kids grow up and order their own wedding flowers. The neighborhood eventually changed and we needed a space where customers felt completely comfortable and welcome.

Moving to Stayton in 2015 gave us exactly that. Some Salem customers love making the scenic 15-mile drive to visit in person. Most just order for delivery since we're heading to Salem every day anyway. Our address changed, but every single relationship came with us.

Our Team in Action

Gordo runs the front with genuine enthusiasm, taking calls, managing orders, translating "I need something that says I'm sorry without actually saying I'm sorry" into actual flower arrangements. The design magic happens through Gordo's spouse (who's been perfecting this craft since 2008) and one talented weekday team member. When Valentine's and Mother's Day roll around, three more amazing people join us for the wonderful chaos.

Fresh flowers arrive regularly, in perfect quantities for what we'll actually create. Our storage situation is cozy, which honestly works beautifully for customers. Everything stays vibrant and current. Nothing gets forgotten in a cooler getting sadder by the day. This is exactly why people are genuinely shocked when their roses are still gorgeous 10-14 days later.
